The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I tell you who is the best among you?"They said, "Yes, Messenger of Allah."He said, "The best among you are those with the longest lives and the finest deeds."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ألا أنبئكم بخيركم؟ قالوا: نعم يا رسول الله، قال: خياركم أطولكم أعمارا، وأحسنكم أعمالا.
Narrated by Ahmad (7212), and Bazzar in Kashf Astar (1971), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (2981), all of them through Muhammad bin Ishaq, who said, "Muhammad bin Ibrahim Taymi narrated to me," from Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman, from Abu Hurairah, who mentioned it.Its isnad is hasan because of Muhammad bin Ishaq, for his hadith is hasan when he states his source explicitly.
