Bazzar (4118) narrated it, and Hakim (4/618) graded it sahih, both through the route of Assad bin Musa, who said, Abu Muawiya narrated to us, from Musa the Younger, from Hilal bin Yasaf, from Umm Darda, from Abu Darda, who said, then he mentioned it.Its isnad is hasan because of Assad bin Musa, for he is hasan al-hadith. Haythami said in Majma (10/263), "Bazzar narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except for Assad bin Musa and Musa bin Muslim the Younger, and both of them are trustworthy."His saying, "a steep, arduous slope" means a difficult climb. His saying, "everyone who is light" - it is said, the man became light (akhaffa), so he is mukhiff, khaff, and khafeef, when his condition and his mount become light, and when he carries little weight. What is meant by "light" here is one who is light of sins and worldly burdens and their attachments.
