The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever pursues this world harms the next, and whoever pursues the next world harms this one." Then I heard him say, "So harm the perishing for the sake of the everlasting."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من طلب الدنيا أضر بالآخرة، ومن طلب الآخرة أضر بالدنيا. فسمعته قال: فأضروا بالفاني للباقي.
Ibn Abu Asim narrated it in Zuhd (161), from Hudba bin Abdul-Wahhab, who said, Fadl bin Musa informed us, who said, Muhammad bin Amr informed us, from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah who said, and then he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Amr bin Alqama, for he is hasan al-hadith.
