The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If this world were worth to Allah even the wing of a mosquito, He would not have given a disbeliever a single sip of water from it."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لو كانت الدنيا تعدل عند الله جناح بعوضة ما سقى كافرا منها شربة من ماء.
Ibn Abu Asim narrated it in Zuhd (130), and Bazzar (8176), both through routes from Muhammad bin Ammar bin Jafar Madani, from Salih the freed slave of Tawama, from Abu Hurairah, as mentioned. Its chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Ammar and his teacher Salih the freed slave of Tawama, for both of them make the hadith hasan, except that Salih the freed slave of Tawama became confused in his later years, and it is not known when Muhammad bin Ammar heard from him. However, the hadith has a firmly established basis, so it appears that Salih the freed slave of Tawama was not confused in this particular hadith.It also has another chain, which Ibn Abu Asim narrated in Zuhd (129) through the route of Abu Mashar, from Saeed Maqburi, from Abu Hurairah, similarly. Abu Mashar is Najeeh bin Abdul-Rahman, who is daif, except that each of these two chains strengthens the other.
