Abu Dharr reported,

Abu Dharr said, I went out one night and found the Messenger of Allah ﷺ walking alone with no one accompanying him. I thought he preferred to walk by himself, so I began walking in the shadow of the moon. He turned and saw me and asked, "Who is this?"I replied, "Abu Dharr, may Allah make me your ransom."He said, "Abu Dharr, come here."So I walked with him for a while, and he said, "Those who have much will be those with little on the Day of Resurrection, except for one to whom Allah has given wealth and who distributes it to his right and his left, before him and behind him, and does good with it."I walked with him a while longer, then he said, "Sit here."He had me sit in a low spot surrounded by stones and said to me, "Sit here until I return to you."He set off into the lava field until I could no longer see him, and he was gone for a long time. Then I heard him approaching, saying, "Even if he steals and even if he commits adultery."When he came back, I could not contain myself and asked, "Prophet of Allah, may Allah make me your ransom, who were you speaking with on the side of the lava field? I did not hear anyone reply to you."He said, "That was Jibreel. He appeared to me on the side of the lava field and said, 'Give your nation glad tidings that whoever dies without associating anything with Allah will enter Paradise.' I asked, 'Jibreel, even if he steals and even if he commits adultery?' He said, 'Yes.' I asked, 'Even if he steals and even if he commits adultery?' He said, 'Yes.' I asked, 'Even if he steals and even if he commits adultery?' He said, 'Yes, even if he drinks wine.'"

عن أبي ذر قال

خرجت ليلة من الليالي، فإذا رسول الله ﷺ يمشي وحده ليس معه إنسان، قال: فظننت أنه يكره أن يمشي معه أحد، قال: فجعلت أمشي في ظل القمر فالتفت فرآني، فقال: من هذا؟ فقلت: أبو ذر، جعلني الله فداك، قال: يا أبا ذر تعاله قال: فمشيت معه ساعة، فقال: إن المكثرين هم المقلون يوم القيامة، إلا من أعطاه الله خيرا، فنفح فيه يمينه وشماله، وبين يديه ووراءه، وعمل فيه خيرا قال: فمشيت معه ساعة، فقال: اجلس ههنا قال: فأجلسني في قاع حوله حجارة، فقال لي: اجلس ههنا حتى أرجع إليك قال: فانطلق في الحرة حتى لا أراه، فلبث عني، فأطال اللبث، ثم إني سمعته وهو مقبل وهو يقول: وإن سرق وإن زنى قال: فلما جاء لم أصبر فقلت: يا نبي الله جعلني الله فداك، من تكلم في جانب الحرة؟ ما سمعت أحدا يرجع إليك شيئا، قال: ذاك جبريل، عرض لي في جانب الحرة، فقال: بشر أمتك أنه من مات لا يشرك بالله شيئا دخل الجنة، فقلت: يا جبريل وإن سرق وإن زنى؟ قال: نعم، قال قلت: وإن سرق وإن زنى؟ قال: نعم، قال قلت: وإن سرق وإن زنى؟ قال: نعم، وإن شرب الخمر.
