The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him."I asked, "Prophet of Allah, is it because of the dislike of death? For all of us dislike death."He replied, "It is not that. Rather, when the believer is given glad tidings of Allah's mercy, His pleasure, and His paradise, he loves to meet Allah, so Allah loves to meet him. And when the disbeliever is informed of Allah's punishment and His wrath, he hates to meet Allah, so Allah hates to meet him."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من أحب لقاء الله أحب الله لقاءه، ومن كره لقاء الله كره الله لقاءه، فقلت: يا نبي الله، أكراهية الموت؟ فكلنا نكره الموت، فقال: ليس كذلك، ولكن المؤمن إذا بشر برحمة الله ورضوانه وجنته أحب لقاء الله، فأحب الله لقاءه، وإن الكافر إذا بشر بعذاب الله وسخطه كره لقاء الله، وكره الله لقاءه.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Remembrance and Supplication (2684:15) from Muhammad bin Abdullah Razi, who said, Khalid bin Harith Hujaymi told us, who said, Saeed told us, from Qatada, from Zurara, from Saad bin Hisham, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.Bukhari, following (6507), alluded to this hadith of Ayesha as a suspended report.
