Some of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited Khababa during his illness and said to him, "Rejoice, Abu Abdullah, you will meet Muhammad ﷺ at the Pond."He replied, "How can that be, when all this fills the house from floor to ceiling? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told us, 'What suffices any of you from this world is no more than the provision of a traveler.'"
عاد ناس من أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ خبابا، فقالوا: أبشر أبا عبد الله ترد على محمد ﷺ الحوض، فقال: كيف بهذا، وهذا أسفل البيت وأعلاه! وقد قال لنا رسول الله ﷺ: إنما يكفي أحدكم من الدنيا كقدر زاد الراكب.

Narrated by Ibn Abu Shayba (35450), Abu Yaala (7214), and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (4/78), all of them through Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Amr, that is, Ibn Dinar, from Yahya bin Jadah, who said, and then he related it.Its chain is sahih and connected, with no suspicion of a break. Yahya bin Jadah is among the trustworthy successors, who heard from the companions who visited Khabab bin Arat, though this does not require that he met Khabab himself.Haythami said in Al-Majmu (10/254), "Abu Yaala and Tabarani narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the sahih, except for Yahya bin Jadah, who is trustworthy."
