A man with effeminate mannerisms was at her home while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was inside the house. He said to Umm Salama's brother, "Abdullah bin Abu Umaya, if Allah grants you victory over Taif tomorrow, I will direct you to the daughter of Ghaylan, for she comes forward with four folds and turns away with eight."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard him and said, "These ones must not enter upon you."
أن مختتا كان عندها، ورسول الله ﷺ في البيت، فقال لأخي أم سلمة: يا عبد الله بن أبي أمية! إن فتح الله عليكم الطائف غدا، فإني أدلك على بنت غيلان، فإنها تقبل بأربع وتدبر بثمان. قال: فسمعه رسول الله ﷺ، فقال: لا يدخل هؤلاء عليكم.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Military Expeditions (4324), and Muslim in the Book of Greetings (2180), both through the route of Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Zaynab bint Umm Salama, from Umm Salama, and he mentioned it. The wording given is that of Muslim, and Bukhari's wording is similar.
