An effeminate man whose hands and feet had been dyed with henna was brought before the Prophet ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "What is the matter with this one?"It was said, "Messenger of Allah, he imitates women."So he ordered that he be banished to Naqi. They said, "Messenger of Allah, shall we not kill him?"He replied, "I have been forbidden from killing those who pray."
Abu Dawud (4928), Abu Yaala (6126), and Bayhaqi (8/222) all narrated it from the hadith of Abu Usama, who informed them, from Mufaddal bin Yunus, from Uzai, from Abu Yasar Qurashi, from Abu Hashim, from Abu Hurairah, who related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abu Yasar and his teacher Abu Hashim, for the two of them make the hadith hasan.
