Someone said, "Messenger of Allah, invoke a curse against the polytheists."He replied, "I was not sent as one who curses. I was sent only as a mercy."
قيل: يا رسول الله ادع على المشركين قال: إني لم أبعث لعانا، وإنما بعثت رحمة.
Muslim narrated it in "Righteousness and Kinship Ties" (2599) through several routes from Marwan Fazari, from Yazid, who is Ibn Kaysan, from Abu Hazim, from Abu Hurairah, who related it.
