The Prophet ﷺ said, "The Children of Israil used to bathe naked, looking at one another, while Musa would bathe alone. So they said, 'By Allah, nothing prevents Musa from bathing with us except that he has a scrotal hernia.' One time he went to bathe and placed his garment on a rock, but the rock ran off with his garment. Musa rushed after it shouting, 'My garment, rock!' until the Children of Israil saw Musa and said, 'By Allah, there is nothing wrong with Musa.' He took his garment and began striking the rock."Abu Hurairah said, "By Allah, there were six or seven marks on the rock from his striking it."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: كانت بنو إسرائيل يغتسلون عراة ينظر بعضهم إلى بعض، وكان موسى يغتسل وحده، فقالوا: والله ما يمنع موسى أن يغتسل معنا إلا أنه آدر، فذهب مرة يغتسل فوضع ثوبه على حجر، ففر الحجر بثوبه، فخرج موسى في إثره يقول: ثوبي يا حجر! حتى نظرت بنو إسرائيل إلى موسى فقالوا: والله ما بموسى من بأس. وأخذ ثوبه فطفق بالحجر ضربا. قال أبو هريرة: والله إنه لندب بالحجر ستة أو سبعة ضربا بالحجر.
Bukhari transmitted it in the Book of Ghusl (278), and this is his wording, and Muslim in the Book of Menstruation (339), both of them through the route of Abdul-Razzaq, from Maamar, from Hammam bin Munabbih, from Abu Hurairah, who mentioned the like of it.His saying, "Adar" with an elongated hamzah, then an unpointed dal with a fatha, the linguists say it means one with swollen testicles. And his saying, "nadab" with a fatha on the nun and the dal, it means a mark or scar.
