The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us so loudly that the young women could hear him in their homes, or he said, in their private chambers. He said, "You who have believed only with your tongues, do not backbite the Muslims, and do not search out their faults. Whoever searches out the faults of his brother, Allah will search out his faults, and whoever has his faults searched out by Allah, He will expose him even within his own home."
Abu Yaala (1675) narrated it from Ibrahim bin Dinar, who said, Musab bin Salam narrated to us, from Hamza bin Habib Zayyat, from Abu Ishaq Sabi, from Bara, and he related it.Hamza bin Habib Zayyat is hasan in his hadith. It has been said that he heard from Abu Ishaq Sabi after the latter's memory became confused, but this hadith of his has a basis, and this is evidence of his sound memory and that no confusion affected him in this particular hadith.
