A group of women from Syria came to visit Ayesha. She asked them, "Where are you from?"They replied, "We are from Syria."She said, "Perhaps you are from the region whose women enter the public bathhouses?"They answered, "Yes."She said, "As for me, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'There is no woman who removes her garments anywhere other than in her own home except that she has torn the veil between herself and Allah Almighty.'"
Abu Dawud (4010), Tirmidhi (2803), and Ibn Majah (3750) all narrated it through routes from Mansur, who said, I heard Salim bin Abu Jaad narrate from Abu Malih Hudhali, and he mentioned the same. The wording given here is that of Abu Dawud. Tirmidhi said, "Hasan." Its chain of transmission is sahih. Imam Ahmad also related it through this same route (25407), (25408), as did Hakim (4/288), who passed over it in silence.
