The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Were it not that dogs are a community among the communities, I would have ordered them to be killed. So kill the pure black ones among them."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: لولا أن الكلاب أمة من الأمم لأمرت بقتلها، فاقتلوا منها الأسود البهيم.
Narrated by Abu Dawud (2845), Tirmidhi (1486), Nasai (4280), Ibn Majah (3205), Ahmad (6788), and Ibn Hibban (5657), all of them through Yunus bin Ubayd, from Hasan, from Abdullah bin Mughafal, who related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih, and Hasan explicitly stated that he heard it directly, as recorded by Ibn Hibban (5656).
