The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was a servant under command. He did not single us out over the rest of the people with anything except three matters. He instructed us to perform ablution thoroughly, not to consume charity, and not to mate a donkey with a mare.
كان رسول الله ﷺ عبدا مأمورا ما اختصنا دون الناس بشيء إلا بثلاث: أمرنا أن نسبغ الوضوء، وأن لا نأكل الصدقة، وأن لا ننزي حمارا على فرس.
Reported by Tirmidhi (1701), Abu Dawud (808) at length, Nasai (141, 3581), Ibn Majah (426) in a shortened form, and Ahmad (1977), and Ibn Khuzayma (175) graded it sahih, all of them through various routes from Abu Jahdam Musa bin Salim, from Abdullah bin Ubaydullah bin Abbas, from Ibn Abbas, who said, then he mentioned it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abu Jahdam, for he was truthful. In the version of Ahmad and Ibn Khuzayma, Musa bin Salim said, "I met Abdullah bin Hasan and said to him, 'Abdullah bin Ubaydullah told me such and such.' He said, 'Horses were scarce among Banu Hashim, so he wanted to see their number increase among them.'"
