Whenever we stopped at a place to rest, we would not perform the voluntary prayer until the saddles had been unloaded.
كنا إذا نزلنا منزلا لا نسبح حتى تحل الرحال.
Abu Dawud narrated it (2551) from Muhammad bin Muthanna, who said, Muhammad bin Jafar narrated to me, who said, Shubah narrated to us, from Hamza Dabbi, who said, I heard Anas bin Malik narrate what he then mentioned. Its chain is hasan because of Hamza Dabbi, who is Ibn Amr Basri, a trustworthy narrator. His saying, "We do not perform tasbih until we release the mounts," means we do not pray the Duha prayer until the mounts are unloaded and the riding animals have rested. Some scholars held it commendable that the rider should not eat, when he stops at a resting place, until he has fed his mount. Khattabi said this in Maalim.
