The Prophet ﷺ set out on a Thursday for the expedition to Tabuk, and he loved to set out on Thursdays.
أن النبي ﷺ الخرج يوم الخميس في غزوة تبوك، وكان يحب أن يخرج يوم الخميس.
Bukhari related it in Jihad and Expeditions (2950), from Abdullah bin Muhammad, who said, "Hisham narrated to us, Maamar informed us, from Zuhri, from Abdul-Rahman bin Kaab bin Malik, from his father," and he related it.
