Some people complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the strain of walking long distances. He called them and said, "You should adopt a brisk pace." So we walked briskly and found it easier on us.
شكا ناس إلى رسول الله ﷺ المشي، فدعاهم وقال: عليكم بالنسلان فنسلنا، فوجدناه أخف علينا.

Ishaq bin Rahawayh narrated it (2010, al-Matalib), and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih (2537), and Hakim (1/443), all of them through the route of Rawh bin Ubada, who said, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, who said, Jafar bin Muhammad narrated to me, from his father, from Jabir bin Abdullah, and he related it. Its chain is sahih. Hakim said, "This is a sahih hadith according to the criteria of Muslim."His saying "naslan" is a verbal noun from nasala, meaning to hasten in walking, short of running.
