I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "In the human body there are three hundred and sixty joints, and a person must give charity on behalf of each joint."They asked, "Who can manage that, Prophet of Allah?"He replied, "Burying a piece of phlegm you find in the mosque, or removing something harmful from the road. If you cannot find such things, then the two units of the forenoon prayer will suffice you."
Abu Dawud (5242) narrated it, and Ibn Khuzayma (1226) and Ibn Hibban (1642, 2540) graded it sahih, all of them through Husayn bin Waqid, who said, Abdullah bin Burayda told me, who said, I heard my father Burayda, and then he related the hadith. Its isnad is hasan, due to the discussion surrounding Husayn bin Waqid Marwazi, though his hadith is hasan.
