Ibn Arabi narrated it in his Mujam (1997), Bayhaqi in Sunan al-Kubra (133/4), and Khatib in his Tarikh (12/372), all of them through routes going back to Shuba, from Jafar bin Muhammad, from his father, from his grandfather (that is, Husayn bin Ali bin Abu Talib), who said, and then he related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Jafar bin Muhammad, that is, Jafar bin Muhammad bin Ali bin Husayn bin Ali bin Abu Talib al-Hashimi, Abu Abdullah, known as Sadiq, for his hadith is hasan. His mention of harvesting refers to the harvesting of dates from the palm trees, while his mention of reaping refers to the reaping of crops. He forbade doing this at night only for the sake of the poor, or because of the crawling creatures of the earth.
