The delegation of Thakeef said, "Messenger of Allah, our land is a cold land. How much water suffices for the major ritual washing?"He replied, "As for me, I pour water over my head three times."
أن وفد ثقيف قالوا: يا رسول الله! إن أرضنا أرض باردة، فما يكفينا من غسل الجنابة؟ فقال: أما أنا فأفيض على رأسي ثلاثا.
Abu Yaala narrated it in his Musnad (3727), saying, Ibn Abu Sumaynah Basri told us, Mutamir bin Sulayman told us, from Humayd Tawil, from Anas, and he mentioned it. Haythami said, "Its narrators are the narrators of the sahih." Majma al-Zawaid (2711). Hafiz also cited it in Matalib Aliyah (1/108) and said, "Sahih."
