Some people asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about fortune-tellers.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "They are nothing."They said, "Messenger of Allah, sometimes they tell us something that turns out to be true."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "That word of truth is something the jinn snatches and clucks into the ear of his human associate the way a hen clucks, then they mix into it more than a hundred lies."
Bukhari narrated it in al-Adab (6213), and Muslim in al-Salam (2228:123), both of them from the route of Zuhri, "Yahya bin Urwa informed me that he heard Urwa say, Ayesha said," and he mentioned it.
