The Prophet ﷺ made a distribution one day, and a man from the Ansar remarked, "This is a distribution by which the face of Allah was not intended."I said, "By Allah, I will surely go to the Prophet ﷺ."So I came to him while he was among a gathering and spoke to him privately. He became angry until his face turned red, then he said, "May the mercy of Allah be upon Musa. He was harmed with more than this, yet he bore it patiently."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Seeking Permission (6291), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Zakat (1062:141), both of them through Amash, from Shaqiq, from Abdullah, and he mentioned it. The wording is Bukhari's.
