He climbed Mount Safa, took hold of his tongue, and said, "Tongue, speak good and you will profit. Stay silent from evil and you will be safe, before you come to regret."Then he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Most of the sins of the son of Adam come from his tongue.'"
أنه ارتقى الصفا فأخذ بلسانه، فقال: يا لسان، قل خيرا تغنم، واسكت عن شر تسلم، من قبل أن تندم، ثم قال: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: أكثر خطايا ابن آدم في لسانه.

Tabarani reported it in Al-Kabir (10/243), and Abu Naeem in Al-Hilya (4/107), both by way of Muhammad bin Abdullah Hadrami, who said, Awn bin Salam narrated to us, Abu Bakr Nahshali narrated to us, from Amash, from Abu Waail Shaqiq bin Salama, from Abdullah bin Masud, who related it.Its chain is hasan because of Abu Bakr Nahshali, whose name is Abdullah bin Qutaf, or Ibn Abu Qutaf, hasan al-hadith, one of the men of Muslim.Haythami said in Al-Majmu (10/300), Tabarani reported it, and its men are the men of the sahih.
