I brought Ibn Zubayr to the Prophet ﷺ, and he softened a date and rubbed it on the baby's palate, then said, "This is Abdullah, and you are Umm Abdullah."
أتيت النبي ﷺ بابن الزبير، فحنكه بتمرة وقال: هذا عبد الله، وأنت أم عبد الله.
Ahmad (24619) narrated it from Abdullah bin Muhammad, who said, Hafs narrated to us from Hisham bin Urwa, from Abbad bin Hamza bin Abdullah bin Zubayr, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.Hakim (4/278) also narrated it via Yahya bin Abdullah bin Salim and Saeed bin Abdul-Rahman, both from Hisham bin Urwa, with the same wording, and its chain is sahih. Hakim said, "This is a hadith sahih in its chain."
