I heard the Prophet ﷺ say on the day of the conquest of Makkah, "No man of Quraysh shall be executed in cold blood after this day until the Day of Resurrection."Wazad added in another narration, "None of those of Quraysh who had defied the Prophet had embraced Islam except Muti. His name had been al-Asi, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ renamed him Muti."
سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول يوم فتح مكة: لا يقتل قرشي صبرا بعد هذا اليوم إلى يوم القيامة. وزاد في رواية: ولم يكن أسلم أحد من عصاة قريش غير مطيع، كان اسمه العاصي فسماه رسول الله ﷺ مطيعا.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Jihad and Expeditions (1782) via Ali bin Mushir and Waki, from Zakariya, from Shaybi, who said, Abdullah bin Mati told me, from his father, and he related it. The addition comes from the route of Abdullah bin Numayr, who said, Zakariya narrated it to us in the same way.
