He said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat me on his lap, wiped his hand over my head, and named me Yusuf."
يقول أجلسني رسول الله ﷺ في حجره، ومسح على رأسي، وسماني يوسف.
Ahmad (16407) narrated it from Abu Ahmad Zubayri, and Tabarani (22/285) narrated it from Abu Naeem, Ibn Uyayna, and Waki bin Jarra separately, all of them from Yahya bin Abu Haytham, who said, I heard Yusuf bin Abdullah bin Salam say, and then he mentioned it. The wording given is Ahmad's, and its isnad is sahih. Ibn Hajar also graded it sahih in Fath al-Bari (10/578).
