A boy was born to me, so I brought him to the Prophet ﷺ, who named him Ibrahim, softened a date and rubbed it on his palate, prayed for blessings upon him, then handed him back to me. He was the eldest of Abu Musa's children.
Bukhari narrated it in Adab (6198), and Muslim in Adab (2145), both of them through Abu Usama, who said, Bureid narrated to me, from Abu Burda, from Abu Musa, who said, then he mentioned it. The wording given is Bukhari's.
