A man among us had a son and named him Qasim. We said to him, "We will not call you Abu al-Qasim, nor will we honor you with that title."He informed the Prophet ﷺ of this, and he said, "Name your son Abdul Rahman."
ولد لرجل منا غلام فسماه القاسم، فقلنا: لا نكنيك أبا القاسم ولا كرامة، فأخبر النبي ﷺ فقال: سم ابنك عبد الرحمن.
