Abu Hurairah came out to us, struck his hand against his forehead, and said, "You people claim that I lie about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so that you may be guided while I go astray. I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'If the strap of one of your sandals breaks, do not walk in the other one until you have repaired it.'"
خرج إلينا أبو هريرة، فضرب بيده على جبهته، فقال: ألا إنكم تحدثون أني أكذب على رسول الله ﷺ لتهتدوا وأضل، ألا وإني أشهد لسمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: إذا انقطع شسع أحدكم فلا يمش في الأخرى حتى يصلحها.
