Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Bakr reported,

Abu Bakr brought a guest, or guests, home with him, then spent the evening at the home of the Prophet ﷺ. When he came back, my mother said to him, "You stayed away from your guest, or your guests, all night."He asked, "Did you not give them dinner?"She replied, "We offered him, or them, food, but he refused, or they refused."Abu Bakr became angry, cursed and reviled, and swore he would never eat the food. So I hid myself, and he called out, "You little fool!" The woman then swore she would not eat the food until he ate it, and the guest, or guests, swore they would not eat it until he ate it.Abu Bakr said, "This must be from Satan." So he called for the food and ate, and they ate with him. Every time they lifted a morsel, more food welled up from beneath it than they had taken. He said, "Sister of Banu Firas, what is this?"She replied, "By the delight of my eyes, there is now more of it than there was before we began eating!"So they ate, and he sent some of it to the Prophet ﷺ, and it was mentioned that he ate from it.
