Anas reported, "I was a young boy walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he visited a tailor who worked for him. The tailor brought him a bowl of food that contained gourd, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept picking out the pieces of gourd. When I saw that, I started gathering the gourd in front of him, while the young man went back to his work."Anas said, "I have loved gourd ever since I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do what he did."
Bukhari related it in the Book of Foods (5435) through the route of Thumama bin Abdullah bin Anas, from Anas, and he mentioned it. Muslim related it in the Book of Drinks (2041) through other routes from Anas, and he mentioned it.
