The Prophet ﷺ said, "Hospitality is for three days, and whatever exceeds that is charity, and every act of kindness is charity."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: الضيافة ثلاثة أيام، فما زاد، فهو صدقة، وكل معروف صدقة.
Bazzar narrated it in Kashf Astar (1928) from Ishaq bin Bahlul, who said, my father told me, Abu Shihab Abd Rabbih bin Nafi told us, from Muslim, from Ibrahim, from Alqama, from Abdullah bin Masud, and he mentioned it.Bazzar said, "Abd Rabbih narrated this alone with this chain, and we have not heard it except from Ishaq."I say, Abd Rabbih bin Nafi has hasan hadith, and Ibn Main deemed him trustworthy, and Ishaq bin Bahlul is truthful, as Abu Hatim said in Jarh wa Tadil (2/214). Haythami said in Majma (8/176), "Its men are trustworthy."
