The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in to me and drank while standing from the mouth of a waterskin that was hanging up, so I went over to its mouth and cut it off.
دخل علي رسول الله ﷺ فشرب من في قربة معلقة قائما فقمت إلى فيها فقطعته.
Tirmidhi (1892), Ibn Majah (3423), and Ibn Hibban, who graded it sahih (5318), all narrated it through the route of Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Yazid bin Abu Jabir, from Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Amra, from his grandmother Kabsha, who said, and then he mentioned it, and its isnad is sahih.Her cutting the mouth of the waterskin was to preserve it for the sake of blessing and seeking healing through it.
