The Prophet ﷺ tore off some meat from a pot and ate it, then prayed without performing ablution.

Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Foods (5404-5405) from Abdullah bin Abdul-Wahhab, who said, Hammad narrated to us, from Ayub and Asim, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it. Muslim narrated it in the Book of Menstruation (354) through other routes from Ibn Abbas with similar wording. Bukhari also narrated it (5404) through the route of Hammad (he is Ibn Zayd), who said, Ayub narrated to us, from Muhammad (he is Ibn Sirin), from Ibn Abbas, with the wording, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gnawed at a shoulder blade, then he stood up and prayed without performing wudu.However, there is a break in this chain, since Muhammad bin Sirin did not hear directly from Ibn Abbas, as Imam Ahmad, Ibn Main, and others have explicitly stated. Ibn Madini said, "Shuba said, the hadiths of Muhammad bin Sirin from Abdullah bin Abbas were actually heard from Ikrima, whom he met during the days of Mukhtar."Hafiz said, "Bukhari's reliance in this text is really upon the second chain of transmission. Ismaili narrated it through the route of Muhammad bin Isa bin Tabba, from Hammad bin Zayd, inserting Ikrima between Muhammad bin Sirin and Ibn Abbas. It was only established as sound in Bukhari's view because it came through that other second route, so he presented it in the form in which he had heard it."
