Bukhari narrated it in adhan (671), and Muslim narrated it in mosques (558), both from the hadith of Hisham, who said, "My father told me, he said, I heard Ayesha say," and he mentioned it.Abu Darda said, as Bukhari mentioned, "Part of a man's understanding is that he attends to his need until he turns to his prayer with his heart free."As for what is narrated from Jabir bin Abdullah as a raised hadith, "Do not delay the prayer for food, nor for anything else," this is daif.Abu Dawud narrated it (3758) from Muhammad bin Hatim bin Bazi, who said, Mualla, meaning Ibn Mansur, narrated to us, from Muhammad bin Maymun, from Jafar bin Muhammad, from his father, from Jabir, and he mentioned it.In it is Muhammad bin Maymun, who is Zafarani, Abu Nadr the Kufi. Ibn Main deemed him trustworthy, but the majority of scholars hold that his hadith is rejected, and this hadith is counted among his rejected narrations because it contradicts the hadith of Ibn Umar found in the Sahihayn.
