The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the dinner of one of you is served and the prayer is called, begin with the dinner, and do not rush until you have finished it."When Ibn Umar's food was placed before him and the prayer was called, he would not come to it until he had finished, even though he could hear the imam's recitation.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Adhan (673), and Muslim in the Book of Mosques (559), both from the hadith of Abu Usama, who said, Ubaydullah narrated to us, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, who mentioned it.
