A young child was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the child urinated on his garment. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for water and poured it over the spot.
أتي رسول الله ﷺ بصي، فبال علي ثوبه، فدعا رسول الله ﷺ بماء فأتبعه إياه.
Malik narrated it in Tahara (109) from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Ayesha, and she related the hadith. Bukhari narrated it in Wudu (222) from Abdullah bin Yusuf, from Malik. As for Muslim, he narrated it in Tahara (101) through Jareer, from Hisham with the same wording, and it contains, "A boy who was nursing... so he called for water and poured it on him." And in the Sahihayn, "A boy was brought to him and he chewed a date for him, then the boy urinated on him." And Muslim has, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to have boys brought to him, and he would pray a blessing over them and chew a date for them, so a boy was brought to him and he urinated on him, so he called for water and poured it over his urine without washing it."
