The Prophet ﷺ said, "When a Muslim meets his Muslim brother and takes him by the hand, their sins fall away from them just as leaves fall from a dry tree on a day of fierce wind, and they are forgiven even if their sins were like the foam of the sea."
أن النبي ﷺ قال: إن المسلم إذا لقي أخاه المسلم فأخذ بيده تحاتت عنهما ذنوبهما كما تتحات الورق من الشجرة اليابسة في يوم ريح عاصف وإلا غفر لهما ولو كانت ذنوبهما مثل زبد البحر.

Tabarani narrated it in Al-Kabir (6/315), and Bayhaqi in Al-Shuab (8549), both through the route of Ubaydullah bin Umar Qawariri, who said, Salim bin Ghaylan narrated to us, who said, I heard Jad Abu Uthman say, Abu Uthman Nahdi narrated to me from Salman Farsi, and he mentioned it.Munziri said in Al-Targhib (4136), "Tabarani narrated it with a hasan chain."Haythami said in Majma al-Zawaid (8/37), "Tabarani narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih except for Salim bin Ghaylan, who is reliable."I say, its chain is hasan because of Salim bin Ghaylan, who is Tujaybi Misri, for there is nothing wrong with him, as Abu Dawud, Nasai, and Ahmad said.
