The Messenger of Allah ﷺ met him and said, "Hudhayfah, give me your hand."But Hudhayfah withdrew his hand. The Prophet ﷺ extended his again a second time, then a third, and asked, "What is keeping you from giving me your hand?"Hudhayfah replied, "I am in a state of major ritual impurity."The Prophet ﷺ said, "When a believer meets another believer and takes his hand, their sins fall away just as the leaves fall from a tree."
أن رسول الله ﷺ لقيه، فقال: يا حذيفة، ناولني يدك فقبض يده، ثم الثانية، ثم الثالثة فقال: ما يمنعك؟ فقال: إني جنب فقال: إن المؤمن إذا لقي المؤمن فأخذ بيده تحاتت خطاياه كما تحات ورق الشجر.

Ibn Wahb narrated it in Jami (250), saying, "Ibn Lahia informed me, from Walid bin Abu Walid, from Ala bin Abdul-Rahman, from his father, that he heard Huzaifa bin Yaman mention," and he related the hadith. Its isnad is hasan, containing Ibn Lahia, and the discussion about him is well known, but some of the imams accepted what the Abadila narrated from him, among them Ibn Wahb, and this is one of those narrations.As for Walid bin Abu Walid, he is Abu Uthman al-Madani, the freedman of Ibn Umar, and it is also said the freedman of the family of Uthman bin Affan.
