The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him fear Allah and honor his neighbor. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him fear Allah and honor his guest. Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him fear Allah and speak what is right or remain silent."
Ahmad narrated it (20285, 20286) through several routes from Shuba, who said, I heard Qatada narrating from Alqama bin Abdullah Muzani, from men among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ, and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Ahmad also narrated (23496) from Yahya bin Saeed (who is Qattan), Abu Ghifar told us, Alqama bin Abdullah Muzani told me, a man from my people told me, that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest," three times, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should be good to his neighbor," three times, "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak well or remain silent."This chain of transmission is hasan because of Abu Ghifar, whose name is Muthanna bin Saeed Tai, for he is hasan al-hadith.
