The Prophet ﷺ said, "The Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe, and the emigrant is the one who abandons what Allah has forbidden."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: المسلم من سلم المسلمون من لسانه ويده، والمهاجر من هجر ما نهى الله عنه.
Bukhari narrated it in the Chapter on Softening of Hearts (6484), from Abu Naeem, who said, Zakariya narrated to us, from Amir (that is, Shaybi), who said, I heard Abdullah bin Amr say, and then he related it.Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith (40:64), by way of Ibn Wahb, from Amr bin Harith, from Yazid bin Abu Habib, from Abu Khayr, that he heard Abdullah bin Amr bin As say, A man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Which of the Muslims is best?" He said, "The one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe."
