Ayesha reported,

A poor woman came to me carrying her two daughters. I gave her three dates. She gave each of her daughters a date and raised the third to her mouth to eat it, but her two daughters asked her for it, so she split the date she had intended to eat between them. Her conduct impressed me, so I mentioned what she had done to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.He said, "Allah has made Paradise obligatory for her because of it," or, "He has freed her from the Fire because of it."

Sahih
