Bayhaqi (1/96) narrated it from Abu Hasan Ali bin Abdullah Khusrujardi, who said, Abu Bakr Ismaili informed us, who said, Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Muslim narrated to us from the original of his book, who said, Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Abu Raja Masissi, a distinguished shaykh, narrated to us, who said, Waki narrated to us, who said, Amash narrated to us, from Qasim bin Muhammad, from Ibn Umar, and he related it. This isnad is sahih.As for what Abu Dawud (14) narrated from Zuhayr bin Harb, who said, Waki narrated to us, from Amash, from a man, from Ibn Umar, relating the same thing, Abu Dawud said, "Abdul-Salam bin Harb narrated it from Amash, from Anas bin Malik, and it is daif."I say, it contains two flaws. The first is that in the first isnad there is an unnamed man. The second is that in the second isnad there is a break in transmission, for Amash did not hear from Anas, as Tirmidhi (1/21-22) stated after narrating it through the route of Abdul-Salam bin Harb, from Amash, from Anas. He said, "Waki and Abu Yahya Himani narrated from Amash, who said, Ibn Umar said," and he related his hadith, then said, "Both hadiths are mursal. It is said that Amash did not hear from Anas, nor from any of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ. He had merely observed Anas bin Malik, saying, 'I saw him praying,' and then related an account concerning his prayer." End of quote.Likewise, what was reported from Jabir, that the Prophet ﷺ, when he wanted to relieve himself, would not lift his garment until he was close to the ground. Tabarani narrated it in al-Awsat. It contains Husayn bin Ubaydullah Ajli, who used to fabricate hadith, as Daraqutni stated in al-Lisan (2/296), and Haythami said in al-Majmu (1/206), "Husayn bin Ubaydullah Ajli used to fabricate hadith."
