The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hang up the whip where the people of the household can see it."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: علقوا السوط حيث يراه أهل البيت.
Abu Naeem narrated it in al-Hilyah (7/332), from Habib bin Hasan, who said, Abdullah bin Ibrahim Akfani narrated to us, who said, Ishaq bin Bahlul narrated to us, who said, Suwayd bin Amr Kalbi narrated to us, who said, Hasan bin Salih narrated to us, from Abdullah bin Dinar, from Ibn Umar, and he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Ishaq bin Bahlul, of whom Abu Hatim said, "He is truthful (saduq)." His student Abdullah bin Ibrahim Akfani was graded reliable by Khatib in his Tarikh (9/405). Habib bin Hasan is Qazzaz, Abu Qasim, from whom Hammami, Abu Naeem, and a group of others narrated. Barqani graded him daif, while Ibn Abu Fawaris, Khatib, and Abu Naeem graded him reliable. He died in the year three hundred and fifty-nine, as stated in al-Mizan (1701).
