Abdullah bin Abbas reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever angers Allah to please people, Allah will be angry with him, and He will turn against him those whom he sought to please by angering Him. But whoever pleases Allah at the cost of angering people, Allah 
will be pleased with him and will make pleased with him those whom he angered for His sake, until He adorns him and beautifies his words and deeds in their eyes."

Hasanعن ابن عباس، قال
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من أسخط الله في رضا الناس سخط الله عليه، وأسخط عليه من أرضاه في سخطه، ومن أرضى الله في سخط الناس رضي الله عنه وأرضى عنه من أسخطه في رضاه حتي يزينه ويزين قوله وعمله في عينه.

Tabarani reported it in Al-Kabir (11/268), from Jabrun bin Isa Muqri, who said, "Yahya bin Sulayman Hafari told us, Fudayl bin Iyad told us, from Husayn, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas," who said such and such.Its chain is hasan because of Yahya bin Sulayman Hafari, about whom Dhahabi said, at the end of the entry on Yahya bin Sulayman Jafi, "I know of no fault in him." As for Tabarani's teacher, most scholars did not know him, but there is no harm in him if his hadith has a firm basis, and this one does.Munziri deemed its chain jayyid in Al-Targhib wal-Tarhib (3448).
