The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Souls are like conscripted soldiers. Those that recognize one another come together, and those that do not recognize one another differ."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: الأرواح جنود مجندة فما تعارف منها ائتلف وما تناكر منها اختلف.
Tabarani narrated it in al-Kabir (10/283) from Hasan bin Ali al-Mamari, who said, Hudba bin Khalid narrated to us, who said, Hammad bin Salama narrated to us, from Thabit, from Safwan bin Mihraz, from Abdullah bin Masud or someone else, who said, then he mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan because of Hudba bin Khalid bin al-Aswad al-Qaysi, for there is disagreement about him. Nasai declared him daif, while Ibn Main deemed him trustworthy, and Abu Hatim said, "He is truthful (saduq)." He is among the narrators of the sahih collections, as Haythami said in al-Majma (10/273), "Tabarani narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the sahih collections."Tabarani also narrated it in al-Kabir (9/207) from Abu Khalifa, who said, Muhammad bin Kathir narrated to us, who said, Shuba narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Murra, from Abdullah bin Masud, with the same wording.
