The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Let us go together to Banu Waqif to visit that blind man."Sufyan said, "They were a clan of the Ansar, and the man had lost his sight."

Bazzar narrated it in Kashf Astar (1920), and Tahawi in Sharh Mushkil (4356), and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (2/127-128), all of them through routes from Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Amr bin Dinar, from Muhammad bin Jubayr bin Mutim, from his father, who said, then he mentioned it.Tabarani also narrated it in Al-Kabir (2/127) through another route from Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Zuhri, from Muhammad bin Jubayr bin Mutim, from his father, with the same content. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Haythami said in Al-Majma (8/174), "Bazzar and Tabarani narrated it, and the men of Bazzar's chain are the men of the Sahih."This hadith has also been narrated as a mursal report, but those who connected it were a group of narrators, so their addition is accepted. It has likewise been narrated within the musnad of Jabir bin Abdullah, and the sahih version is what I have mentioned.
