A man from among the companions of the Prophet ﷺ met me and took hold of my shoulders from behind. He said, "I love you."I replied, "May the One for whose sake you love me also love you."He said, "Had the Messenger of Allah ﷺ not said, 'When a man loves another man, let him inform him that he loves him,' I would not have told you."Then he began to propose a marriage match to me, saying, "We have a Jariya available, though she is one-eyed."
لقيني رجل من أصحاب النبي ﷺ فأخذ بمنكبي من ورائي، قال: أما إني أحبك، قال: أحبك الذي أحببتني له، فقال: لولا أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: إذا أحب الرجل الرجل فليخبره أنه أحبه ما أخبرتك، قال: ثم أخذ يعرض علي الخطبة قال: أما إن عندنا جارية، أما إنها عوراء.

Bukhari reported it in Adab al-Mufrad (543) from Yahya bin Bishr, who said, Qabisa narrated to us, who said, Sufyan narrated to us, from Rabah, from Abu Ubaydullah, from Mujahid, who said, and then he related it. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Rabah, who is the son of Abu Marouf al-Makki, and his teacher Abu Ubaydullah Sulaym al-Makki, for both of them make the hadith hasan.
