The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Purification is half of faith. 'Praise be to Allah' fills the scale. 'Glory be to Allah' and 'Praise be to Allah' fill, or fill, what is between the heavens and the earth. Prayer is light. Charity is proof. Patience is illumination. The Quran is either an argument in your favor or against you. Every person sets out in the morning and sells his soul, either freeing it or destroying it."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: الطهور شطر الإيمان والحمد لله تملأ الميزان، وسبحان الله والحمد لله تملآن- أو تملأ- ما بين السماوات والأرض، والصلاة نور، والصدقة برهان، والصبر ضياء، والقرآن حجة لك أو عليك، كل الناس يغدو فبايع نفسه فمعتقها أو موبقها.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Purification (223), from Ishaq bin Mansur, who said, "Habban bin Hilal narrated to us, Aban narrated to us, Yahya narrated to us, that Zayd told him, that Abu Salam told him, from Abu Malik Ashari," and he mentioned it.
